With over six years of experience across state and federal politics – including as a Senior Adviser to the Victorian Leader of the Opposition – James possesses a sharp eye for opportunity, a steady hand in high-pressure environments, and a proven ability to turn strategy into impact.
He has advised senior political leaders across the portfolios of Industry, Energy, Emissions Reduction, Digital Transformation and Environment.
Beyond government, James has worked for a national industry body and for a full-service advertising agency. These experiences have sharpened his ability to translate complex issues into compelling campaigns.
He brings a rare mix of political insight, storytelling, and deep research capability to every brief – whether guiding leaders through high-stakes issues, developing reform proposals, or leading national advocacy efforts.
James holds a Master of Business Administration (Technology) from the Australian Graduate School of Management at the University of New South Wales, and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Business (Marketing) and Arts (Politics & History) from Monash University.
