Claire is a former policy officer and strategic adviser with the Federal Government’s Department of Social Services, where she developed high-level policy, negotiated contracts and used her planning and coordination skills to introduce and implement processes to ensure the smooth running of projects essential to people’s lives.
Claire created communication products for senior executives and the minister’s office, including talking points, media releases, question time briefings, and speeches for the minister and assistant minister.
Claire developed strategic communications materials – such as environmental scans, media reports and subsequent analysis, and media summaries – provided issues-management advice and managed social media.
At RACV, Claire worked as a project coordinator and content writer, expanding the brand-reach to a younger demographic. Previously Claire was an intern at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).
Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts (History and Psychology) and a Master of Arts (Cultural Management), both from the University of Melbourne. Claire is a Hamer Scholarship recipient and studied Mandarin at Nanjing University and The Confucius Institute.
