Kate has an extensive background in the university and local government sectors, as well as with the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

Kate uses her project management skills and knowledge of government systems and procedures to help clients meet their objectives.

With an insider’s knowledge of local government and a flair for organisation and planning, Kate works with clients to navigate the best path towards their goals, regardless of the issue.

While at Darebin City Council, Kate was instrumental in the Tram Route 86 Corridor Improvement Project that saw accessible tram stops and streetscape improvements through Westgarth and Northcote.

Kate planned and coordinated the extensive community consultation as well as managed the working group and steering group – comprised of state government agencies, public transport operators and other stakeholders – until the project was successfully implemented.

As a leader in sustainable transport initiatives, Kate oversaw the introduction of Melbourne’s first car share scheme. GoGet began in Melbourne with one car and one car space in the City of Darebin.

Other award-winning programs designed or implemented by Kate include the Darebin Green Travel Plan and Going Places – Darebin’s Community Travel Rewards Program.

Kate has won a United Nations Association of Australia World Environment Day Award, a Heart Foundation Local Government (Victoria) Award and an LGPro (Local Government Professionals organisation) award.

Kate holds a Degree in Science from The University of Melbourne with Honours in Geography and Environmental Science.
